We invite all parents and family members to access the Parent & Family Portal! If you have already signed up for an account, you will simply log in. If you have not previously set up an account, please click on “Sign Up” so you can take advantage of everything the portal has to offer. Also, once you are in the portal, you will be able to “connect” to your student and request access to certain records not normally available.
This is a new video series designed to help parents and family members learn about the resources and services available to their students while enrolled at Roane State.
Supporting Your Student: A Video Series for Parents and Families
At the Parent/Family Orientation, you will learn about student services, paying fees, tutoring, safety and security, among other topics. We want to equip our parents and family members with information that will help you provide even more support for your student as they embark on this new journey. You will also receive the Parent/Family Handbook and other materials regarding the Parent/Family portal. Parents and family members will be given the opportunity to sign up for the portal while in attendance. As a “thank you,” we will offer some promo items (while supplies last) as well as provide snacks throughout the event.
Students will preregister for the New Student Experience (also called orientation), which will occur at the same time as Parent/Family Orientation. The separate sessions for parents and family members are intended for guests of students who have registered for the New Student Experience. Family members will be with students during opening and closing sessions, as well as during lunch, before attending their own specialized orientations. Due to spacing, we ask that each student limit the number of guests to two.
If you have any questions about the event, please contact Maria Gonzales.
